- Required Experience: Twelve (12) years of professional experience in systems engineering, including requirements definition, system design parameters, concept operation, risk assessment, productivity studies/analyses, performance analyses, test and evaluation, and post-delivery support.
- Security Clearance Level: Active Secret clearance
- Desired Professional Experience: Engineering experience supporting the U.S. Navy, providing services and support for Combat Systems.
Responsibilities
As a Systems Engineer IV at GDIT, I work to deliver simple solutions to complex problems. My responsibilities include:
- Managing and executing engineering activities, developing technical approaches and plans that support customer desired capabilities, determining scope of work tasks, estimating time for task completion, and establishing feasible schedules based on resource availability.
- Developing advanced engineering concepts and guiding projects to a final product.
- Implementing an approach for capturing, analyzing, and tracing artifacts that provide requirements for system performance and functionality while maintaining traceability from engineering products to user-defined capabilities.
- Providing systems and technical engineering services, including planning, developing hardware requirements, interface design, testing, configuration management, data management, decision analysis, technical review, fielding support, and documentation.
- Supporting software engineering development and support services across systems.
- Ensuring the concept of operations (CONOPS) verifies and validates system performance and operational capability in collaboration with the operational requirement/user/operational test community.
- Developing design reference missions, use cases, and modeling diagrams using Systems Modeling Language and Unified Modeling Language.
- Estimating timelines and establishing schedules and resource requirements for work tasks.

Our average salary range for this position is $166,280 - $224,968, although actual salary will depend on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
