Responsibilities
As a Systems Engineer, I will support an information technology enterprise. My key responsibilities will include:
- Gaining experience with server technologies and Windows operating systems, including MVS (multiple virtual storage).
- Supporting Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) and utility/security applications.
- Setting up and managing servers in the Commercial Cloud Enterprise (C2E).
- Working in a multi-system and multi-application environment with varying specialties like operating systems, email, database platforms, and storage technologies.
- Understanding network requirements and their impact on operating systems.
- Adhering to organizational standards for configurations, security constraints, and software management processes.
- Independently diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems.
- Utilizing analytical planning and organizational skills to manage tasks effectively.
- Planning and executing projects using project management techniques.
- Communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborating with developers to elicit requirements and engage in project planning.
- Researching technological advancements to assess their impact on our systems.
