Responsibilities
As a Systems Engineer, my role involves designing, configuring, and troubleshooting server, storage, and application architectures. I am responsible for the administrative operation and maintenance of server hardware and software. I manage Microsoft Active Directory objects, Group Policy Objects, and DNS zones/records while maintaining system security and executing practices and procedures. Additionally, I monitor usage statistics and logs, remedy vulnerabilities, and institute troubleshooting and incident response procedures. I troubleshoot system-related problems and provide team leadership and guidance to less experienced administrators. Understanding the networking architecture at a deep level for server and application design and troubleshooting is critical in my work. I also recommend future directions or projects to management while providing expertise in developing, modifying, and documenting software programs and applications to enhance the operating system.

The expected salary range for this position is $76,500 - $103,500, based on experience and location. We require 40 scheduled weekly hours with potential travel of 10-25%. The work location is onsite in Virginia Beach, VA.
