Requirements
Must:
- I require a Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
- I need you to have Security+ certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent within 90 days of hire.
- You must possess TS/SCI Clearance and be eligible to obtain a CI Polygraph.
- Proficiency in UNIX, Windows, and/or Storage administration is necessary.
- Experience working with trouble reporting and tracking systems such as Security+ is required.
- I expect you to be able to respond to after-hour calls and provide on-call support.
- You should be able to travel 30% to local area sites as well as other locations with similar architecture/footprint, which may include OCONUS trips.
- It’s essential that you can prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift/move/carry equipment as necessary (max 40 pounds).
Responsibilities
As a Systems Administrator, you will make an impact by:
- Performing systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks.
- Managing desktop system responsibilities such as account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration functions.
- Supporting the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems and managing system infrastructure and processes related to these systems.
- Handling day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices.
- Providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Managing the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Installing and loading operating system and application software.
- Isolating and resolving hardware and software problems across various systems.
- Troubleshooting and configuring network components while implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Performing software installations and upgrades in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintaining and managing multiple linked databases, including implementing security, data safety, and disaster recovery processes.
- Conducting routine and emergency maintenance of assigned data center equipment and ensuring system security per STIG guidelines.
