- Technical Training, Certification(s), or Degree, with 1+ years of experience in a technical discipline, or equivalent education and work experience
- Preferred Experience: UNIX/LINUX System Administration, Windows System Administration
- Shift work: Panama Schedule (12 hours/day for a total of 7 days over a 2-week period)
- Candidate must possess the appropriate and current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment; either valid CompTIA Security+ CE or CCNA-Security certification
Responsibilities
- Manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
- Understand all the different systems monitored in the help desk and Tier level responsibilities.
- Provide IT Service Management functions and first-level troubleshooting to all customers.
- Use procedures to identify, troubleshoot, diagnose failures, and restore system capabilities.
- Analyze, diagnose, and isolate failures to hardware, coordinating hardware replacement as needed.
- Collect data for escalation and resolution by Tier 2/3.
- Perform network management services, including monitoring device health and performance.
- Conduct OS monitoring, COTS software monitoring, resource memory allocation, etc.
- Modify authorized user lists, user profiles, and perform file system maintenance.
- Document work accurately through a ticketing system while understanding ITSM processes.
- Perform visual inspections of hardware and report all findings.
- Ensure completion of work within Program Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Manage account requests and provide account management for personnel on various systems.
- Interface with customers and government officials, participating in special projects as required.
Description
As part of this role, you will be granted privileged user access and will be subject to greater scrutiny due to the significant responsibilities placed upon you. This includes compliance with a zero tolerance policy for security violations. Due to the sensitive nature of our government client’s work, all candidates must hold a TS/SCI with Polygraph. Shift work will follow a rotating Panama schedule, with shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM or 6 PM to 6 AM.
