Requirements
Must:
- Currently possess Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Able to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Skills: Data Communication, Linux Environments, Operating Systems (OS), Red Hat Ansible, Systems Engineering.
- Certifications: CompTIA Network + (CompTIA), CompTIA Security+ (CompTIA).
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Required Technical Skills:
- 4-8 years' experience as a Linux systems administrator.
- Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7 or later).
- Security+ certification (DoD 8140 requirement).
- Familiarity with VMware and/or other virtualized systems.
- SQL/PostGres/Redis database experience.
- Coding or scripting experience.
- Excellent communication and briefing skills.
- Ability to provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
Responsibilities
As a Systems Engineer Senior, I will be responsible for:
- Designing server and application architectures and performing administrative operations for server hardware and software.
- Maintaining system security and monitoring usage statistics, logs, and remedial actions against security threats.
- Managing baseline configurations and making necessary configuration modifications.
- Instituting troubleshooting and incident response procedures to resolve system-related issues.
- Providing leadership and guidance to less experienced administrators.
- Staying updated on operating systems/software analysis and technological developments.
- Recommending future direction or projects to management.
- Offering expertise in the development or modification of software programs to enhance operating systems.

Additionally, I understand that the likely salary range for this position is between $97,750 and $132,250, with compensation contingent upon experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements. This position requires 40 scheduled weekly hours, with potential travel of 10-25%. My role will be based onsite at Fort Liberty, NC, and while we value flexibility, this role does not offer telecommuting options.
