Responsibilities

As a Senior Systems Administrator in our Theater Compute & Storage Environment, I am responsible for administering, operating, and maintaining virtualized infrastructure services using various tools. My duties include: - Administering and maintaining theater-wide IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring system availability, and implementing solutions for performance and security improvements. - Overseeing server installation, configuration, and maintenance in both physical and virtual environments. - Managing the operation and maintenance of backup software across multiple sites. - Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide appropriate solutions. - Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting moderate to complex issues. - Conducting security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with organizational policies. - Managing allocated storage to prevent capacity-related incidents. - Testing backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability. - Developing disaster recovery plans for critical systems and services. - Participating in disaster recovery drills and business continuity planning. - Providing support to end users and resolving complex IT issues. - Maintaining detailed documentation of system configurations and changes. - Creating reports on system performance and security incidents. - Coordinating with other IT teams for the coordinated delivery of IT services. - Providing recommendations for system improvements based on analysis and industry best practices. - Monitoring service request ticket queues for support requests.
