SCITLS Lead Data Scientist

We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Lead Data Scientist to take on the role of Task Lead for our STRATCOM Command Information Technology Leadership Support (SCITLS) contract. In this position, I will provide strategic guidance and technical leadership across advanced data science, AI/ML, quantum computing, and database initiatives that align with USSTRATCOMs mission priorities. As the Task Lead, I will manage a diverse team and direct the development, experimentation, and implementation of advanced analytics solutions within a secure and impactful defense environment. My role will also include serving as the technical authority for integrating emerging technologies into the Command’s enterprise. Key areas of impact include: - Enterprise Database Management: Overseeing the design, integration, and performance optimization of command-wide database environments. - Data and AI Services: Leading the AI/ML development lifecycles, ensuring responsible AI principles and secure, scalable deployment. - Command Lab Environment (CLE): Supervising agile experimentation and prototyping for AI, ML, and data science innovation. - Enterprise Data Science (EDS): Managing Command-wide data science strategies, including predictive analytics and KPI modeling. - Quantum Computing: Guiding research and feasibility studies in quantum algorithms relevant to Command objectives. - Leadership & Strategic Direction: Leading a team of data scientists, ML engineers, big data specialists, and software engineers, while establishing and executing the Commands strategic vision for AI and data science. - Advanced Analytics & Modeling: Developing predictive models, NLP algorithms, and driving research in emerging techniques. - Operational Integration & Collaboration: Partnering with engineers and developers to integrate solutions into secure DoD infrastructure and delivering insights to mission leaders using advanced visualization tools.
