Responsibilities
As part of USSTRATCOM, we are focused on strategic deterrence and IT services essential to national security. In the role of Global Operations Center (GOC) Mission Systems Engineer - Network, you will provide vital network engineering support for GOC Mission Systems engineering services and research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing multi-disciplinary support for mission system services, including lifecycle management, engineering, integration, and sustainment of systems.
- Ensuring assured connectivity within the GOC and throughout the USSTRATCOM Enterprise.
- Supporting planning, development, testing, and delivery of comprehensive IT solutions for GOC Mission Systems.
- Performing network engineering across various transmission/transport mediums, including VPNs, dedicated circuits, and broadband.
- Collaborating with public carriers to deliver network services while adhering to designated standards and policies.
- Delivering IT infrastructure-related architecture, engineering, and security support, including installation, configuration, and operational availability.
- Supporting all planning, system architecture, and cybersecurity activities related to network services and telecommunications infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
Description
Our team values education and experience, where a BA/BS or equivalent along with 5+ years of relevant experience is essential. Required certifications include FITSP-O, GFACT, CASP+, CCNP Security, CCSP, or Security+. We prefer candidates with additional certifications such as ITIL 4 Foundation, Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), and others related to the field. A minimum Top Secret security clearance is mandatory, with a willingness to obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
