Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in English, Business Administration, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient with MS Suite, MS Visio, or other process mapping software.
- Exceptional writing and critical thinking skills, with experience producing various types of deliverables for diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight, while offering training and support to less experienced team members.
- Demonstrated leadership and accountability for projects and tasks, alongside excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
Responsibilities
As a Technical Editor Senior, I will provide vital writing and editing support by:
- Producing high-quality documents that meet applicable standards and adhere to client-specific style and layout.
- Creating standardized templates and stylesheets that ensure uniformity in deliverables.
- Conducting thorough technical edits on existing documentation to correct context, organization, and formatting errors.
In terms of process documentation and improvement, I will:
- Develop process and procedure documentation while working closely with project leads and management.
- Create user-friendly guides and aids to assist users in operating various applications or documentation repositories.
- Review current processes and make expert recommendations for improvements and simplified procedures.
- Capture requirements for workflow automation and software development.
Regarding deliverable management, I will:
- Collaborate with GDIT programs and TSS service delivery lines to deeply understand products, services, and documentation needs.
- Clearly define project scopes, monitor schedules, and ensure completion and approval.
- Establish frameworks for how business processes are designed, executed, and improved.
- Maintain documentation repositories and distribute meeting minutes.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
