Responsibilities
As a Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM) System Support Specialist, I will ensure the success of the Pacific's premiere simulation center, the Joint Multinational Simulation Center - Indo Pacific (JMSC-IP). My role includes:
- Providing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for information systems applications and peripheral hardware.
- Performing system management and administration functions within a distributed computing environment that supports military simulation systems, ensuring integration with Mission Command Systems for tailored unit digital training.
- Managing the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers across various operating systems while maintaining the integrity and security of servers and systems.
- Participating in special projects as required.
Description
To succeed in this role, I will need an AA/AS in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of related work experience and advanced knowledge of both information technology and business issues. Essential technical skills include an understanding of Army War Fighting Functions, advanced knowledge of JLCCTC-MRF/WARSIM technical and functional operations, and required Comp TIA SEC+ certification.
I will be based onsite with moderate travel required to other customer sites. The expected work hours are 40 hours per week with a travel requirement of 25-50%.
