Must:
To be considered for the Information Technology/Information Assurance (IT/IA) Specialist position, we require:
- Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: Top Secret/SCI
- Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: Top Secret SCI + Polygraph
- Public Trust/Other Required: None
- Job Family: Information Security
- Skills: Information Security, Information Security Management, Information System Security
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of related experience
- US Citizenship Required: Yes
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent experience (4 years)
- Certifications: IAT Level I (A+, NET+, etc.) or IAM Level I
- Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI required, must be able to attain TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned computer systems.
- Maintain file servers, Firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems, and system documentation as required.
- Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance.
- Prepare systems for operational use and support operational tests.
- Review, prepare, and update authorization packages.
- Notify customers when changes occur that might affect authorization accreditation.
- Conduct cybersecurity portions of the self-inspection checklist.
- Review and provide technical and cybersecurity coordination on all Bodies of Evidence that make up the authorization package.
- Identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.
- Ensure information systems and network appliances are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices.
- Perform Video-Teleconferencing (VTC) System Administration, Scheduling, and Configuration.
- Provide External Information System Client Support.
- Perform account creations, changes, and deletions on multiple authorization boundaries.
- Conduct Help Desk and troubleshooting activities.
- Perform Hardware/Software System Configuration, upgrades, and modifications.
- Carry out system and network appliance patching activities.
- Support Government-Issued Laptop issues.
- Assist in Media Control and Accountability activities.
- Manage COMSEC account/equipment activities.
Description
This position is based in Ramstein, Germany. The IT/IA Specialist will support Special Access Programs (SAPs) within Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, providing daily support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.
We are pleased to inform you that the likely salary range for this position is between $79,747 and $88,435. However, please note that actual salary will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements, and could fall outside this range.
