Information Assurance System Security Engineer

As an Information Assurance System Security Engineer (ISSE) III at GDIT, I am tasked with transforming technology into opportunity. I primarily conduct information system security engineering activities with a focus on the lifecycle of current systems and future requirement scoping. My responsibilities include: - Performing oversight of the development, implementation, and evaluation of information system security program policy, particularly regarding SAP network infrastructures. - Analyzing network security based on the Risk Management Framework (RMF) with an emphasis on the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG) authorization process. - Providing expert support, research, and analysis of complex problems related to information security. - Assisting architects and systems developers in the identification and implementation of information security functionality, ensuring compliance with DoD security policies and enterprise solutions. - Leading a team of System Security Engineers and overseeing technical services related to Information Security. - Conducting security assessments, integrating monitoring tools with SIEM, and developing improvements for security assessment accuracy and efficiency. - Writing and executing cybersecurity test procedures and analyzing security incidents to mitigate risks.
