Responsibilities
As a Computer (Software and Hardware) Support Technician, I will have the opportunity to:
- Work under the guidance of the Senior Advisor to communicate advancements and challenges encountered during the installation, testing, and upgrading of hardware solutions, contributing to the Senior Advisor's Project Schedule.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting services for incoming inquiries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Respond to inquiries either in person or over the phone and address requests via email, instant messaging, and voicemail for customers seeking support.
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software as needed.
- Design, develop, implement, and analyze hardware for products, while creating testing strategies for hardware mechanisms.
- Develop strategies and tools for performance and stress testing of hardware components.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to hardware product engineering.
- Gather input and document test steps in Engineering Installation Plans (EIP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure necessary documentation supports hardware solutions.
- Draft specifications and documentation for hardware components and computer systems.
- Lead process enhancements in hardware engineering procedures and take part in special hardware engineering projects.
- Communicate and report daily status updates on tasks to the Senior Advisor.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned and provide coaching and guidance to less-experienced professionals.
- May serve as a team or task lead.

To succeed in this role, a successful candidate will need: - Education: A BA/BS degree or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience; a Security+ certification is required. - Experience: At least 5 years in an IT support-related position. - Security Clearance Level: An active Secret clearance is necessary to begin. - Location: This position is based in Key West, FL (On-Site role).
