IT Solutions Architect - Offutt Air Force Base

As an IT Architect, I will have a significant impact by supporting the largest government agency in our nation. I will enhance the Department of Defense's mission to safeguard our country by: - Building and maintaining IT infrastructure models using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods in accordance with Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) standards. - Designing and developing a platform to host a global web publishing operation that supports our New Media Initiative or web-based MISO programs. - Ensuring that the platform is scalable, reliable for maximum uptime, and secure against intrusions and denial of service attacks. - Implementing the platform under the guidance of an automated configuration management framework. - Providing extensive knowledge of information security and overseeing the architecture necessary for collecting and presenting program performance metrics. Additionally, I must demonstrate the following capabilities: - Conduct system operations analysis. - Decompose systems via OMG frameworks (UML, DoDAF 2.0/UPDM, SysML, UAF). - Model systems from various perspectives (e.g., capability, operational, system, functional) and at different levels of abstraction. - Work with UML modeling tools (Cameo Enterprise Architect preferred). - Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple system domains to analyze requirements, processes, systems, and capabilities. - Extend UML-based models to other tools or modeling environments using existing frameworks/APIs. - Familiarity with executable models (fUML specification preferred) and generating data and reports. - Exhibit strong customer service skills, including presenting a positive demeanor to customers and peers. - Experience publishing models in web-based or document-based formats, and developing applications using object-oriented programming languages (Java preferred). - Function effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, high-quality environment while showcasing strong communication skills and attention to detail.
