Responsibilities
As a Cybersecurity Support Services Engineer, I play a crucial role in implementing and sustaining the overall security posture of our systems. This includes:
- Vulnerability and Compliance Remediation:
- Establishing, updating, and maintaining automated patching services for deployed technology baselines.
- Implementing patches and configuration updates to address findings noted from various sources within designated timelines.
- Testing and Validation:
- Documenting and conducting test activities to ensure that system changes do not degrade security posture.
- Drafting and presenting test reports and providing recommendations for effective security control implementation.
- Managing responses to inquiries regarding security information and report requests.
- Incident Response & Security Oversight:
- Supporting and coordinating the investigation of security incidents and reporting necessary findings.
- Guiding and coordinating the communication and enforcement of security policies across data, applications, hardware, and telecommunications systems.
- Advising stakeholders on information assurance standards and emerging security technologies.
Description
I am looking for candidates with a Bachelorโs degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience. You should have a minimum of 4 years of applicable experience in system administration and compliance management, with a DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant certification required (such as CySA+, Security+, CND, RHCSA, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP). Preferred skills include documented experience with cloud security implementations in Azure or AWS environments and a thorough understanding of security policies and vulnerability assessment tools.
