Requirements
Must:
- US Citizenship Required
- Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: Secret
- Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: Top Secret
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 7 years in a senior architecture or solution design role for a large program of greater than $100M or 100 FTEs.
- Direct experience with CISA and preferably experience within Capacity Building or other directly related cybersecurity environments.
- Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex security architectures and managed services in diverse environments.
- Proficiency in advanced cybersecurity technologies and solutions (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, firewalls, cloud security).
- Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with clients and senior leadership.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, TOGAF, or similar are highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- DoD TS Clearance.
- Travel: Less than 10%.
- Location: DC Metro area.
Responsibilities
As a Cyber Security Sr Director – Chief Architect at GDIT, you will make an impact by:
- Leading the design and architecture of complex cybersecurity solutions and managed services that align with client needs and industry best practices.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their business objectives, security requirements, and risk management strategies.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive security architectures and managed services that address current and future threats, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Overseeing the deployment and integration of security technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, firewalls, and cloud security solutions.
- Providing strategic guidance on cybersecurity initiatives, including risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response planning.
- Leading and mentoring a team of cybersecurity architects and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Designing and overseeing managed cybersecurity services offerings, ensuring they deliver high value and meet client expectations.
- Staying current with emerging cybersecurity trends, technologies, and threat landscapes, and incorporating relevant advancements into the solution architecture.
- Preparing and presenting detailed architectural plans, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership and clients.
- Ensuring the continuous improvement of cybersecurity processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Managing project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery of cybersecurity solutions and managed services.

The likely salary range for this position is $212,500 - $287,500. However, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements, which could fall outside of this range.
