Responsibilities

- I design and define system architecture for Windows desktop solutions and client-based applications. - I support the integration of the Windows desktop with a variety of enterprise services. - I evaluate desktop software and hardware technologies and determine the most efficient method to leverage the technology within the customer’s network environment. - I administer, operate, manage, and maintain components for Windows desktop deployments to thick clients and VDI. - I review completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and make recommendations to management and/or clients. - I plan and direct upgrades of Windows desktop operating system version and supporting infrastructure and related components.

Description

We are seeking highly motivated engineers with a thirst for learning in support of geographically dispersed, state-of-the-art systems that seamlessly integrate Linux and Microsoft services. Candidates with proven depth in creating solutions with Microsoft Windows Server and client operating systems will be positioned for success in our organization. The selected candidate will design, build, deploy, and administer large-scale multi-domain enterprise Windows environments. Additionally, the engineer will build, maintain, and support Windows desktops on both thick client hardware and within a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure leveraged by thin client hardware. The engineer will also provide support to multiple globally dispersed WAN connected sites. Engineers will be responsible for supporting their solutions throughout the IT project lifecycle, including refining requirements, creating design documentation, generating installation instructions and deployment plans, and providing operations and maintenance support. Project assignments will vary based on skill level and may include engineering geographically dispersed services, integrating services into public, private, and hybrid cloud environments, engineering solutions to be deployed via automated Configuration Management tools, and hardening the solutions to address security and SCAP compliance.
