Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field from an accredited institution, with progressive machine learning engineering experience: - Five or more years with a Bachelors, or three or more years with a Masters degree, or equivalent experience in lieu of education. - In-depth knowledge of machine learning concepts, principles, and theories. - Proven ability to apply advanced machine learning methods, adopt leading standard techniques, and effectively use necessary diagnostic tools while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. - Quick to grasp new concepts and apply them effectively in a dynamic environment. - Strong communication, computer, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with other professionals, create appropriate documentation, and present findings to an internal audience. - Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team setting. - Established track record of implementing innovative technical solutions in rapidly changing product areas. - Willingness to work extended hours as required. - Capability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

- Develop and articulate descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive insights and algorithms. - Utilize machine learning and statistical modeling techniques, including but not limited to decision trees, logistic regression, and Bayesian analysis, to enhance product/system performance and quality. - Apply programming languages and technologies to transform algorithms and technical specifications into functional code for product design and improvement. - Conduct programming, implement efficiencies, and perform testing and debugging. - Draft documentation and procedures for the installation and maintenance of systems. - Leverage deep learning technologies to enable computers to visualize, learn, and respond to limited scope situations. - Lead technical teams while scoping complex projects into manageable sprints. - Oversee code reviews to ensure alignment with DevSecOps and MLOps best practices. - Maintain a growth mindset in an environment where priorities may shift due to customer requirements or technological advancements. - Adapt machine learning applications to fields such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and robotics to enhance user interaction. - Collaborate with external vendors and partners to integrate their technologies into our autonomy framework. - Uphold strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information. - Undertake additional tasks as needed. - Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and applicable obligations when representing the company. - Prioritize safe working practices in accordance with established guidelines.
