Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in cyber security, information technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IT Security or a similar environment.
- Experience with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with KnowBe4 or comparable platforms is essential.
- Proficiency in Carbon Black EDR EPP or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Defender and Entra ID or similar tools.
- Experience with ConnectWise Patch Management or equivalent solutions.
- Familiarity with Splunk SIEM and SOAR or equivalent applications.
- Experience with Rapid7 InsightVM or similar tools required.
- Proficiency in ProofPoint Email Gateway or comparable systems.
- Understanding of annual penetration testing and related mitigation strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and aptitude for IT Security.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Practical knowledge of the tools and products utilized in daily operations.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure concepts including Azure, AWS, Cisco, Microsoft, Citrix, Oracle, SQL, etc.
- Familiarity with network concepts and protocols such as AD, DNS, LDAP, SMTP, FTP, etc.
- Comprehensive understanding of information technology trends and the capacity to relate them to our company objectives.
- Knowledge of IT regulations including PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley, and privacy laws.
- Certifications like GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, or CISSP are considered advantageous.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
- Capacity to devise quick and creative solutions in high-pressure situations.
- Commitment to embedding quality in all aspects of work.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize and swiftly respond to alerts to minimize potential security threats to corporate assets.
- Skillfully manage escalations from our managed security services provider.
- Maintain open communication with the user community, addressing their IT security requirements.
- Follow established runbooks for daily duties while suggesting improvements for processes and documentation.
- Promote proactive technological measures to reduce security vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to incident response protocols, engaging in the development of response playbooks and scenario exercises.
- Suggest innovative monitoring and alerting use cases to improve visibility and coverage of potential attacks.
- Collaborate on security projects and enterprise-wide initiatives.
