Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret clearance is mandatory
- Certification or ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level I or higher within 90 days from project commencement
- At least 4 years of overall professional experience in software development
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience with subsystem and software component development using technologies such as XML, SCORM, IETM, HTML5, JavaScript, C#, Python, R, or similar tools
- Proficient in database development with SQL; Oracle experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of CI/CD methodologies, GitLab pipelines, Docker, and containerization
- Experience in cloud application development, AR/VR technologies, decision support systems, data analytics, or video game engines is advantageous
- Candidates possessing 2 or more years of software development experience within the Department of Defense may have total experience requirements reduced by 1 year
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and maintain software solutions that align with user requirements and mission objectives, utilizing methodologies from computer science and software engineering
- Enhance and develop subsystems and software components using contemporary web and application technologies
- Manage and enhance relational and enterprise databases, including writing optimized queries and overseeing schema design with SQL and Oracle
- Develop and administer CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to facilitate automated testing, integration, and deployment processes
- Implement application containerization using Docker and support strategies to enhance portability and scaling
- Collaborate with existing toolkits and contribute to the advancement of the NAWCAD WOLF platform, aiming for reliable, swiftly deployable solutions that minimize development and operational costs
- Integrate software systems, draft specifications, and execute functional requirements alongside cross-functional teams
- Assist in cloud application development and contribute to scalable, secure, cloud-native infrastructure
- Participate in the development of AR/VR projects, data analysis, and decision support tools as mission requirements dictate
