Requirements
Must:
- Active DoD Top Secret (TS) or Department of Energy (DOE) L security clearance is essential
- Proven experience in Cobol or Micro Focus COBOL development within a secure government or defense setting
- Strong understanding of mainframe-to-distributed system integration techniques
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies in classified environments
- Experience with Visual Cobol is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and troubleshoot COBOL applications utilizing Micro Focus tools to fulfill project requirements and security protocols
- Conduct hands-on coding, conversion, compilation, and testing activities
- Provide configuration and integration support from source to target environments
- Maintain and enhance existing COBOL-based applications
- Analyze legacy systems, codebases, and data structures
- Implement fixes, updates, and performance enhancements
- Support functional, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Assist with deployment, documentation, and knowledge transfer
- Collaborate with clients technical, business, and project management teams

As a pivotal contributor, you will develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL-based systems that are crucial for government operations, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance. This is a full-time, in-person role, and we offer competitive compensation ranging from $60.00 to $75.00 per hour, with expected hours of 40 per week.
