Requirements
Must:
- 7 or more years of professional experience
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in desktop publishing, word processing, and online documentation software
- Familiarity with industry writing styles, including grammar and sentence structure
- Experience with company software products
- Excellent communication abilities
- Strong skills in personal computers and business solution software
- Exceptional proofreading and editing capabilities
- Capability to translate technical concepts into clear, understandable language
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Research, compose, edit, and proofread complex technical data for use in various documentation such as manuals and specifications
- Assist in developing style guidelines and standards for text and illustrations to meet business requirements
- Conduct interviews with programmers, engineers, and technical staff; review prior documentation and use training tools to gather technical details for complex documentation
- Produce, organize, and compile detailed online help files for user support
- Create and deliver comprehensive system/software documentation packages from project team inputs and system specifications
- Help formulate project plans and initiatives for documentation completion
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members
- May serve as a Lead for assigned accounts
