Requirements
Must:
- Over 6 years of experience in application development and batch programming using C, Unix, Linux, and Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL)
- Prior experience with Healthcare IT systems, particularly Claims and/or MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System), is highly preferred
- Proven expertise in batch job automation and notification services
- Strong skills in complex SQL development and query optimization
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software components
- Support the entire development lifecycle for service creation
- Investigate and resolve complex business and technical product integration issues
- Focus on specific technologies across multiple platforms
- Operate independently in a business area while influencing technical decisions at the enterprise level
- Code, test, debug, implement, and document programs in C on Unix and Linux, as well as Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL
- Work on Healthcare IT Systems related to Claims
- Automate batch jobs and manage notification services
- Conduct complex SQL development and tuning
- Modify company products and/or customer/internal systems to suit user needs
- Analyze systems and program requirements, preparing necessary documentation
- Design enhancements to existing programs
- Write specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity
- Assist in resolving production support issues
- Propose alternative solutions to problems
- Develop test plans to verify the logic of new or modified programs and identify issues
- Create documentation for program code and technical processes
- Conduct quality assurance through peer reviews
