Requirements

Must:
- Exceptional editing, writing, and verbal communication abilities. - Capacity to manage multiple deadlines and maintain composure under significant pressure. - Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for engaging with team members, prospective clients, and diverse audiences. - Familiarity with concepts, practices, and procedures related to publication production, writing, and editorial processes, including reviewing and providing feedback on proposal content. - Understanding of proposal/project management responsibilities and commitment to achieving crucial deadlines. - Proficient in articulating and presenting the business value of company solutions. - Ability to build and maintain both formal and informal networks, representing them effectively. - BA or equivalent experience in Business Management, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or English. - At least 3 years of experience in proposal editing or similar business editing in a dynamic, strategic environment. - APMP and PMP certifications are advantageous. - Prior experience with Medicaid FFS or State Governments is beneficial. - Advanced proficiency in MS Office/Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; experience with Adobe Professional, Visio, Project, and RFPIO/Responsive is a plus.

Responsibilities

- Analyze request for proposal (RFP) requirements and develop shell files in accordance with RFP specifications while ensuring adherence to brand guidelines. Identify and escalate issues needing resolution before submission. - Create and maintain a conventions document (e.g., term sheet) for each bid that aligns with RFP standards. - Provide editing and writing support for proposals and related materials, ensuring formats and guidelines enhance the quality and branding of the final product. - Independently write, review, and revise content for proposals to ensure it is engaging and accurately presents solutions, strategies, and vision, while embedding company win themes and highlighting key differentiators. - Establish and refine document standards according to client and organizational procedures. Assist proposal teams by offering standardized language, sample text, and support with formatting resumes and biographies for uniformity in voice and style. - Monitor and evaluate feedback on proposal drafts, making necessary adjustments. - Complete final document formatting and prepare for production, including establishing tables of contents and ensuring compliance with RFP requirements. - Support the final proposal production and perform quality checks to ensure excellence. - Assist other department staff as needed based on business requirements. - Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
