Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or a combination of education and experience
- Degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field preferred
- CISSP certification is desirable
- Minimum nine years of experience in computer science, management information systems, or data security
- Familiarity with information security practices, networks, software, and hardware
- Proficient in computer programming
- Experience with operating systems
- Knowledge of desktop applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with security architecture
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for security challenges
- Excellent organizational skills for project management
- Basic leadership skills to mentor junior staff
- Strong interpersonal skills for customer and team interactions
- Effective communication skills for team collaboration
- Proficient in implementing and configuring networks
- Ability to work with relational databases
- Willingness to collaborate in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Conduct audits of computer systems to ensure secure operations and data protection
- Evaluate assigned systems to ascertain security status and implement recommended policies and compliance measures
- Create training materials for computer security education and awareness initiatives
- Assess complex security systems based on industry standards to protect internal information systems
- Define security requirements and review systems for compliance with established benchmarks
- Lead investigations into security violations and breaches, providing reports and solutions as necessary
- Address complex inquiries regarding computer security from internal and external stakeholders
- Offer technical advice on intricate tasks and provide limited guidance to junior technical staff
- Suggest security product packages to customers, evaluate vendor offerings, and perform cost analyses for clients
