Requirements
Must:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to type 50 WPM and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook
- One to two years experience in data entry required
- Competent keyboarding skills, including adept use of the 10-key pad
- Capacity to uphold confidentiality and adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance
Responsibilities
- Accurately input data from medical claims and attachments into the DHS MMIS system
- Verify and review information for precision
- Utilize Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Participate in cross-training with other departments, such as mail room and document control
- Meet specified production and quality benchmarks
- Assist in departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing overall efficiency
