Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in application development and batch programming, particularly with modifying moderately complex batch business applications using C.
- Strong proficiency in C programming, including skills in performance optimization, memory management, and debugging.
- Extensive SQL abilities, preferably with embedded C and Oracle database experience.
- Practical experience with Linux/Unix environments, including shell scripting and file system management.
- Knowledge of SOAP and RESTful interfacing.
- Familiarity with JSON.
- Experience using Visual Studio Code or similar IDEs, including debugging tools.
- Proficient in version control systems like TFS or Git.
- Advanced understanding of testing tools and unit testing scripting along with testing methodologies.
- General knowledge of Medicaid, HIPAA, and PHI regulations.
- Highly desirable experience in healthcare and Medicare systems, particularly Medicaid claims adjudication.
Responsibilities
- Write, test, debug, implement, and document programs.
- Assist in modifying company products and/or internal systems to better address client and end-user needs.
- Collect information from the system to analyze program and time requirements and prepare documentation for existing program modifications.
- Research and evaluate existing systems and program requirements under periodic supervision.
- Analyze, design, and assess application designs to ensure they meet client specifications.
- Develop complex design documents and convert them into component-level designs to facilitate the development process.
- Utilize expertise in development methodologies, coding standards, and testing strategies to define and develop project requirements, functional specifications, and detailed design of application solutions.
- Employ Gainwell and third-party technologies to create software solutions of moderate to advanced complexity.
- Formulate strategies, designs, and approaches for data gathering.
- Create programs for new projects or enhancements to existing systems.
- Draft specifications for moderately complex programs.
- Assist in resolving production support issues.
- Develop and propose alternative strategies for solving problems.
- Create test plans to verify the logic of newly modified programs and identify issues as needed.
- Develop and implement regression testing strategies.
- Produce, maintain, and revise technical documentation such as design and testing artifacts.
- Conduct quality assurance activities, including peer reviews.
- Stay updated on industry technical trends and advancements to uphold current skills and adhere to industry standards.
