Requirements
Must:
- Over 3 years of experience in application development and programming using C, Linux, job scripts/streams, SQL, and IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS)
- Proficient with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server for software programming
- Capable of developing test plans and engaging in QA activities, including code reviews
- Skilled in resolving cycle abends
- Previous exposure to healthcare systems is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Write, test, debug, implement, and document programs
- Assist in modifying company products and/or internal systems to address the needs of clients or end-users
- Gather system information, analyze program and time requirements, and create documentation for program changes
- Research and assess existing systems and program needs, with periodic supervision
- Design programs for new projects or enhancements to current programs
- Draft specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity
- Aid in solving production support issues and suggest alternative solutions
- Develop test plans to verify the logic of new or modified programs and identify issues as needed
- Create detailed documentation for assignments such as program code and technical records
- Conduct quality assurance activities, including peer reviews
- Stay updated on industry technical trends and developments to maintain and enhance skills
