Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical claims and appeals required.
- Familiarity with medical insurance and medical terminology is essential.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail required.
- Proven ability to investigate and resolve claim payment discrepancies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and TEAMS).
Responsibilities
- Assess provider appeals by applying established guidelines and record appeal decisions clearly and effectively.
- Evaluate, research, and scrutinize appeal documentation to guarantee all appeal facets are thoroughly and precisely addressed while meeting production targets and quality benchmarks.
- Modify and resend claims on approved appeals, ensuring correct claim data adjustments and necessary documentation is included.
- Uphold performance standards within set quality and quantitative targets.
- Ensure confidentiality while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
