Requirements
Must:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year in logistics, inventory management, or similar fields
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software, along with basic office software proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word)
- Ability to perform basic math calculations, with or without a calculator
- Capability to read and interpret documents such as safety guidelines and operational instructions
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks
- Additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities, with the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to work effectively and safely in a collaborative setting
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional demeanor in all interactions
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime as needed
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy materials and perform tasks related to server rack handling
- Proficient in using power equipment for safely positioning heavy server racks according to established protocols.
Responsibilities
- Manage incoming inventory by receiving, inspecting, and accurately documenting various items such as server racks and networking equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all shipping and receiving documentation is complete
- Conduct regular stock counts and address any discrepancies
- Schedule inbound and outbound shipments in coordination with suppliers and carriers
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging for outgoing items
- Unpack incoming shipments, inspecting them for accuracy and completeness
- Safely transport inventory using equipment like pallet jacks, adhering to all safety protocols
- Uphold a clean and organized workspace, including storage areas and shipping docks
- Assist in the disposal of packaging materials and outdated equipment as required
- Follow all safety procedures to ensure a secure work environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet inventory and logistics needs
- Support special projects as directed by management and execute additional tasks as needed
- Aid in the installation of computer server racks, following provided instructions and diagrams
- Utilize basic tools safely to complete installation tasks and assist in proper cable management within server racks.
