Requirements
Must:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and software, as well as basic proficiency with office applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word)
- Ability to perform basic math calculations, with or without a calculator
- Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
- Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks
Optional:
- Additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related area
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities with multitasking abilities in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to function effectively and safely in team settings
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional demeanor in all interactions
- Availability for a flexible schedule, including potential overtime when necessary
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory by receiving, inspecting, and accurately documenting all incoming items, including racks, trays, and networking equipment
- Maintain precise inventory records and ensure accurate documentation for items received and dispatched
- Conduct regular stock counts and address any discrepancies
- Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to arrange inbound and outbound shipments
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging for outgoing packages
- Upload, unpack, and verify incoming shipments for correctness and completeness
- Transport inventory safely using material handling equipment, following all safety protocols
- Keep a clean and organized working environment, inclusive of storage areas and shipping/receiving docks
- Support the disposal of packaging materials and outdated equipment as required
- Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure workplace
- Comply with Data Center security protocols and access controls
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to meet inventory and logistics needs
- Assist with special projects or initiatives as directed by management
- Complete other tasks as needed, prioritizing quality, safety, and efficiency
- Aid in the setup and installation of computer server racks according to instructions
- Help in assembling server racks by following schematic diagrams and guidelines
- Safely and effectively use basic tools and equipment for installation tasks
- Assist senior technicians in organizing cables within the server racks
