Requirements
Must:
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Networking, or a related discipline
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and switching)
- Proficiency in Windows environments and user support
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to operate onsite in a manufacturing/industrial setting
Responsibilities
- Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of the plants network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi
- Provide initial IT support for both office employees and production floor personnel
- Diagnose connectivity problems affecting production systems, workstations, and mobile devices
- Facilitate user account creation and access management (Active Directory, shared systems, shop-floor terminals)
- Ensure consistent network connectivity for manufacturing devices and systems such as MES, scanners, and printers
- Engage in system updates, patching, and planned maintenance to reduce downtime
- Document network configurations, devices, and support methods
- Refer complex issues to senior IT personnel or external service providers
- Adhere to company IT and cybersecurity regulations, particularly those that impact production operations
Description
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Junior Network Administrator to enhance our manufacturing facilitys IT and network operations. This entry-level, hands-on position will involve close collaboration with senior IT staff to support both the office environment and plant-floor systems. We offer a competitive salary of $48,000 per year, along with benefits including dental care, extended health coverage, on-site parking, profit sharing, RRSP matching, and vision care. The role requires work to be performed in person at our facility.
