Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Over 12 years of progressive experience in data center, utility, power generation, or mission-critical infrastructure
- Extensive background in architecting on-site generation systems, particularly gas turbines
- Deep technical knowledge of high-availability power systems and redundancy architecture
- Proven success in creating facility-level electrical architecture for large-scale, mission-critical environments
- Practical experience with SCADA, EPMS, protective relaying, and distribution automation
- Familiarity with AI/HPC and large compute-intensive facilities strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead diverse teams and stakeholders
- Experience in scaling hybrid grid and on-site generation strategies is a plus
Responsibilities
- Define and oversee the global electrical architecture roadmap, including HV/MV/LV systems and redundancy strategies
- Set internal power standards and scalable designs for replication across various facilities
- Provide architectural oversight for engineering, procurement, and construction entities, as well as utilities
- Transform long-term compute goals into detailed power system strategies and specifications
- Lead partnerships with utilities and engage in interconnection discussions to enhance energy efficiency
- Assess, model, and design on-site generation plants, focusing on gas turbines and renewable systems
- Drive integration of gas turbine systems, ensuring compliance with emissions regulations
- Develop strategies for microgrid operations that enhance resilience and cost-effectiveness
- Architect solutions aligning hybrid grid capabilities with reliability and future demand
- Direct the design of critical components such as substations, switchgear, and grounding schemes
- Conduct analyses including short-circuit, load flow modeling, and arc-flash studies
- Implement advanced monitoring architectures to optimize operational performance
- Collaborate with various engineering teams to align power systems with high-performance requirements
- Establish standards for commissioning, testing, and maintenance of power assets
- Research and test innovative technologies to enhance system efficiency and safety
- Define and enforce power safety standards in compliance with industry frameworks
- Conduct root-cause analysis and promote continuous improvement practices within the fleet
- Serve as the expert authority on electrical risk and capacity strategy
