Principal Software Engineer - Java, Cloud

- Define and guide the architectural vision and design principles for our software systems to ensure alignment with business objectives while being scalable and maintainable. - Assess and choose suitable technologies and frameworks that bolster team goals and enhance overall system efficiency. - Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust full-stack features using Node.js, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Java, adhering to established design principles and coding standards. - Establish and uphold best practices for software development, emphasizing code quality, testing, and thorough documentation. - Mentor and support engineering teams, cultivating a culture of ongoing learning and enhancement. - Conduct technical training sessions and workshops aimed at improving team skill levels. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, QA) to gather specifications, devise solutions, and ensure timely software delivery. - Serve as a pivotal technical liaison between engineering and other departments to ensure project goals align with technical capabilities. - Assume ownership of intricate technical projects, ensuring they are implemented successfully and delivered within agreed timelines. - Lead architectural discussions and design reviews, facilitating consensus among stakeholders. - Stay informed about emerging technologies, design patterns, and industry trends, assessing their relevance to our organization. - Champion initiatives aimed at process improvements within the engineering team to boost productivity, collaboration, and code quality. - Execute job responsibilities safely and attend work consistently and regularly. - Undertake other related duties as required.
