Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required certifications or licenses
- Over 7 years of relevant professional experience
- At least 2 years of experience with MongoDB/Redis and messaging systems such as Kafka or MQ
- Strong grasp of modern JavaScript features, development methodologies, and best practices
- Proficiency in React, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Bash
- Experience collaborating closely with UI/UX designers to refine and implement designs for specifications, including cross-browser compatibility
- Proven experience with Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and JSON
- Comprehensive understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL and MongoDB/Redis design and modeling
- Strong analytical abilities for troubleshooting technical issues and providing clear solutions
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies, with an understanding of iterative development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
- Familiarity with unit testing and end-to-end testing frameworks
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and interact with management, team members, and external contacts of varied backgrounds and experiences
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-quality, maintainable, and scalable full-stack features using Node.js and React
- Convert designs and wireframes into clear, efficient, and reusable React components using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Develop and design RESTful APIs with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Provide technical insight and architectural guidance to the team, ensuring adherence to best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, QA) to gather requirements, create solutions, and ensure timely software delivery
- Promote a collaborative atmosphere where team members can share ideas and collaborate effectively
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code and actively lead code reviews to maintain high coding standards
- Advocate for best practices in testing, code quality, and documentation
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, offering guidance and support in navigating technical challenges
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to nurture individual growth and enhance team performance
- Take charge of technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met
- Define project timelines and milestones while effectively communicating progress to stakeholders
- Perform job responsibilities safely and attend work consistently
- Undertake additional related tasks as assigned
