Must:
- Proven track record in technical support or desktop support roles with a strong foundation in computer management and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- In-depth knowledge of computer networking principles such as LAN configuration, VPN setup, firewall administration, and network security practices.
- Experience with IT support tools like ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy for incident management and ticket tracking.
- Proficient in diagnosing hardware issues alongside software applications, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure elements, including routers, switches, servers, and security devices.
- Ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users, coupled with excellent customer service abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the aptitude to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical support to end-users through help desk platforms like ServiceNow and Jira, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Oversee and maintain computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and applications, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Troubleshoot and rectify software-related problems, including applications and operating systems.
- Configure and support computer networking elements such as LANs, VPNs, firewalls, and other devices to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
- Assist with desktop support functions, including hardware repairs, upgrades, and installations.
- Maintain documentation of IT infrastructure utilizing tools such as BMC Remedy for incident management and tracking.
- Support the rollout of updates, patches, and security configurations to protect company data and systems.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance IT processes and implement new solutions for improved operational efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with end-users, providing clear guidance on technical issues while upholding high customer service standards.
Description
We are seeking a dependable and experienced IT support professional to manage routine IT tasks in our office environment. This part-time role requires around 5-8 hours per week, primarily on-site, allowing for flexibility based on workload.
