Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a technology support role
- (Preferred) 2 year technical degree
- Microsoft certifications relevant to supported technologies
- Cisco certifications concerning LAN/WAN networking
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and system administration
- Excellent communication abilities with adaptability to different audiences
- Capacity to manage multiple support requests simultaneously
- Proficient in prioritizing support queries quickly
- Highly organized and process-oriented
- Ability to work independently
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary customer service representative for various technical inquiries, responding via phone, email, or other methods
- Identify and resolve hardware and software issues
- Research problems and explore potential solutions using available resources
- Adhere to standardized help desk procedures by tracking all service requests, incidents, and issues in service desk software
- Update and oversee the service desk asset database
- Identify, investigate, document, and escalate matters that require advanced technical expertise
- Develop, update, and manage documentation for the IT knowledge base
- Provide software training to end-users
- Oversee the service desk system, including incident management, knowledgebase, system monitoring, and alerting
- Assist the Systems Administrator with projects, updates, patching, and maintenance of server and network infrastructure
Description
We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our dedicated IT Department. In this role, you will provide exceptional software and hardware support for various technology devices such as desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. You will primarily manage the service desk, tackling daily help requests and monitoring key technology systems.
