Requirements
Must:
- Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; Bachelors degree is preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in an IT support role, ideally in manufacturing or retail settings.
- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and prevalent business applications.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, POS systems).
- Basic knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management) and remote support tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with the capability to identify and address technical issues effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey technical information to non-technical users.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic environment.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or comparable certifications are advantageous.
- Background with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or retail software is highly valuable.
Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level technical assistance for hardware, software, and network challenges confront by manufacturing and retail personnel.
- Install, set up, and troubleshoot workstations, printers, POS systems, scanners, and other peripheral devices in both manufacturing facilities and retail outlets.
- Administer and support essential business applications pertinent to manufacturing (e.g., ERP systems, SCADA interfaces) and retail (e.g., inventory management, CRM).
- Conduct regular system maintenance, including updates, backups, and security assessments to ensure system reliability and data protection.
- Assist in resolving network connectivity problems, including Wi-Fi, LAN, and VPN access for operational locations.
- Record technical issues, solutions, and frequent problems in a ticketing system and knowledge repository.
- Offer user training and guidance on IT best practices and new software features.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal IT teams to resolve intricate technical challenges.
- Take part in IT initiatives, including system upgrades, implementations, and infrastructure enhancements.
- Be available for on-call support or occasional travel to operational sites when necessary.
