Engineer - Core Technologies

- High School diploma or equivalent required, with preference for experience in a hotel or related field - At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred - Trade school or college coursework in a relevant field is advantageous - Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours as needed - Ability to exert over 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or over 50 pounds frequently - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and courteous demeanor towards all employees and guests - Excellent listening skills to address concerns raised by employees and guests - Capacity to multitask and prioritize departmental responsibilities to meet deadlines - Attentive, friendly, and service-oriented approach in all guest and employee interactions - Attendance at all required hotel meetings and training sessions - Consistent attendance in accordance with Highgate hotel standards - High personal grooming and appearance standards, including proper uniform and nametag attire - Compliance with Highgate standards and regulations for safe hotel operations - Commitment to maximizing productivity and identifying problem areas to assist in finding solutions - Proficiency in handling issues, including anticipating, identifying, and resolving them as necessary - Ability to understand and apply complex information from various sources to meet objectives - Willingness to cross-train in other hotel areas - Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information - Initiative to anticipate guest or operational needs - Completion of additional tasks as assigned by management
