Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in systems administration, networking, or project engineering
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (IP, VLANs, routing, firewalling)
- Advanced expertise in Windows Server, virtualization, and Microsoft 365 / Azure
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities
- Capability to work autonomously and manage various priorities
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid drivers license in good standing
- Successful completion of a fingerprint-based background check
- Certification in CJIS Security & Privacy Training is required
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior-level technical escalation point for intricate systems and network challenges
- Contribute to the creation of engineering standards, documentation, and best practices
- Mentor junior engineers through support, oversight, and demonstration
- Design and implement solutions covering servers, networking, security, wireless technology, and cloud services
- Interact directly with clients for discovery, assessments, and solution discussions
- Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and technical proposals
- Deploy and maintain Windows Server, virtualization, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments
- Ensure comprehensive documentation is maintained within Autotask, IT Glue, and other internal systems

This senior-level, client-facing role provides a significant opportunity to impact technical standards and solution design, while also fostering team success. Our work environment encompasses client systems that range from 25 to over 500 endpoints, supporting diverse municipal and SMB networks across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud infrastructures. We are committed to high-availability systems exceeding 99.9% uptime targets. This full-time position is located in our St. Louis, MO office and offers a clear pathway for career growth into a Lead Engineer role for those who showcase ownership and leadership.
