VP of Data & AI

- Define and implement the strategic roadmap for our data ecosystem, addressing ingestion, modeling, governance, observability, and business intelligence. - Own and enhance our existing CDC infrastructure based on Debezium, ensuring reliability, scalability, and effective schema change management. - Oversee data ingestion processes from SQL Server and cloud storage, expanding to incorporate more data sources and third-party systems. - Build and lead a high-performing team across Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, and future Data Science/ML Engineering. - Collaborate with the Risk team to provide reproducible training-ready datasets, including feature sets, label pipelines, temporal models, and monitoring tables. - Design data frameworks that accommodate machine learning and AI tasks, including feature pipelines, embedding/vector layers, and model governance. - Establish and uphold data governance standards such as semantic consistency, naming conventions, data contracts, PII handling, lineage, and access controls. - Drive performance and cost-efficiency within Snowflake, transformations, ingestion workflows, and BI functionalities. - Ensure the BI layer is dependable, governed, and trustworthy, featuring well-structured marts and consistent metrics. - Set technical benchmarks, mentor team members, and cultivate a culture of high-quality, testable, and maintainable data practices.
