Requirements
Must:
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise cloud engineering (M365, Azure, identity, PKI).
- Comprehensive knowledge of certificates, authentication flows, OAuth2, SAML, and application registration design.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Graph API, automation workflows, and Azure AD / Entra ID.
- Experience in designing or implementing automation pipelines.
- U.S. Citizenship (Required).
Desired qualifications include:
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-700, AZ-305, and AZ-500.
- Experience working in large federal environments, preferably with 75,000+ users.
- Ability to obtain IRS Public Trust clearance or higher.
Responsibilities
As the Engineer, Systems, Information Lead, I will provide senior-level technical leadership in the design, development, and implementation of the IRS’s enterprise certificate automation platform and M365 integration services. My key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the architecture design for certificate lifecycle automation, dependency mapping, and service integration workflows.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of automation components using PowerShell, Graph API, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Directing troubleshooting efforts related to authentication flows, certificate bindings, service principal configurations, and PKI dependencies.
- Providing technical governance and decision-making authority across all automation and M365 engineering tasks.
- Reviewing system requirements, user stories, technical documentation, and test plans to ensure compliance with IRS, federal security, and Zero Trust policies.
- Collaborating with the Program Manager, Security Specialist, and IRS PMO on technical risks, impacts, and release readiness.
- Mentoring developers, engineers, and analysts throughout the project.
