Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- IT or Cybersecurity certification is preferred
- 7 years of experience in supporting the Windows operating system
- 5 years of experience in implementing cybersecurity best practices based on policies
- 5 years of experience in maintaining an Active Directory domain synchronized to Entra ID
- 5 years of experience in automating processes using PowerShell
- 5 years of experience utilizing remote support tools for troubleshooting
- 3 years of experience with Intune Autopilot provisioning
- Ability to diagnose software and hardware problems on the Windows operating system
- Proficient in installing and configuring Microsoft Office M365 C2R
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while providing updates
- Knowledge of the technology landscape, particularly Windows 11
- Familiarity with optimizing imaging workflows in Windows Autopilot to improve the OOBE
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Participate in daily standup meetings
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues submitted by students, teachers, and staff via ServiceNow
- Investigate new incidents to identify root causes and develop solutions
- Test existing security measures to ensure they are effective
- Validate new security measures through lab testing
- Continuously update imaging workflows and configurations
- Coordinate repair and support efforts with vendors and on-site teams
- Provide recommendations to improve support services
- Document new processes and update existing documentation as necessary
- Maintain professional standards through efficient work habits, such as meeting deadlines and effectively coordinating resources
- Fulfill other job-related duties as required, guided by performance goals and targets
- Work during scheduled FLVS holidays with a compensating time-off arrangement
Description
We are seeking a Desktop Engineer to join our Scholars Operations Center team, dedicated to providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for the Florida Scholars Academy program. This initiative focuses on delivering in-person education to incarcerated students at housing facilities managed by the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. Our team supports a diverse community of students, teachers, and staff across Florida. We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $60,761.00 to $115,446.00, based on internal equity and experience. This full-time position is an in-person role at our headquarters in Florida, and we are prepared to support our team members with reasonable accommodations in line with ADA requirements.
