Requirements
Must:
- Demonstrated experience in IT support or help desk roles with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of computer networking principles including TCP/IP protocols, DNS configuration, VPNs, firewalls, and LAN/WAN environments.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows (including Windows Server), Linux distributions, and macOS.
- Practical experience in managing computer hardware and mobile devices in a work setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and remote assistance tools like SCCM and BMC Remedy.
- Strong analytical skills with the capability to identify issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Outstanding communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
Responsibilities
- Offer technical assistance for hardware, software, and network issues across various operating systems including Windows and macOS.
- Diagnose software-related issues with applications such as Microsoft Office, ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy.
- Oversee computer hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals to ensure they function optimally.
- Aid in computer management duties such as setting up user accounts in Active Directory and managing Group Policy Objects (GPO).
- Support activities related to network administration, including troubleshooting LAN/WAN, configuring DNS, managing TCP/IP settings, ensuring VPN connectivity, handling firewall issues, and managing Cisco Meraki devices.
- Maintain IT documentation utilizing tools like SCCM for software deployment and inventory tracking.
- Collaborate with team members to promptly address help desk tickets via ServiceNow or Jira while ensuring clear communication throughout the resolution process.
