Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field (BA or BS)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in server and network management
- Strong customer service aptitude
- Proficient with office equipment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong grasp of technology
- At least 3 years of experience with networking, physical and virtual servers
- Sound knowledge of end-user devices, networks, server hardware and software, infrastructure, and reporting tools
- Certifications: MCSA (Microsoft), VCP (VMware), CIAE (VCE Vblock)
Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering advanced server support across the corporation
- Collaborate on establishing Technology network strategies and plans
- Partake in long-range infrastructure development
- Consult with Technology and business partners to ensure proper server functionality
- Direct and support junior staff in resolution activities
- Prioritize Technology networking projects according to business needs
- Diagnose and resolve server, network, and application issues
- Manage server patching processes and coordinate schedules
- Draft and review server build documentation
- Create and execute test cases and scripts
- Update project documentation and departmental procedures
- Act as a liaison with vendors for assigned systems and platforms
- Participate in change control processes and contribute to meetings
- Collaborate with Technology, Project Management Office, and external support personnel
- Lead complex strategic initiatives and infrastructure projects
- Purchase, install, and maintain both physical and virtual servers
- Undertake additional tasks and projects as necessary
