IT Support Technician (hardware/software)

- Maintain all PC systems and associated infrastructure used by First Community Services and supported organizations - Oversee life-cycle management of desktop and branch infrastructure, ensuring adequate inventories and service levels - Perform diagnostics on hardware and coordinate timely repairs to guarantee customer satisfaction - Translate business needs and user requests into clear written documentation - Offer second-level support for escalated hardware and software issues from the helpdesk - Manage hardware procurement including ordering through purchasing tools and inventory management - Conduct research on technology trends to support PC procurement and evaluations - Analyze product cost benefits and make recommendations for purchases - Maintain vendor relationships for troubleshooting and support coordination - Utilize discretion in planning and executing equipment installations, upgrades, and replacements - Regularly assess and ensure sufficient hardware inventory to meet business requirements - Act as a communication bridge between IT support groups regarding user services and issues - Participate in off-hours support activities and on-call rotations as needed - Complete additional assigned tasks as required
