Senior Java Engineer - AWS, Terraform

- Design and implement technical solutions that fulfill user requirements regarding functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability - Provide leadership in development (Architecture, Design, Development) for our Emerging Payments platforms - Advocate for department best practices, implementing guidelines while adhering to standards - Cultivate an exceptional developer experience by focusing on every detail - Passionately build elegant, maintainable, and well-documented secure code - Approach abstraction and refactoring as a joyful endeavor rather than a task - Exhibit a proactive drive to learn and exceed expectations - Continuously aim to improve individual skills and support team members constructively - Guide technical designs to consensus and approval from the Architecture Review Team; design and develop enterprise solutions tailored to specific business needs, enabling frameworks, interfaces, and services that can be reused for future projects - Evaluate the impact of proposed changes on the existing architecture and technology solutions, considering cost/benefit implications - Create and maintain application architecture and associated assets, serving as the primary resource for development teams during architecture discussions - Oversee release processes, with some after-hours or weekend work potentially required
