Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree and 8 years of experience in Applications development, analysis, or engineering OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Applications development, analysis, or engineering
- People developer passionate about helping individuals set goals and achieve personal and professional success
- Proven experience in establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationships with effective conflict resolution approaches
- Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and drive technical excellence in software delivery
- Familiarity with all aspects of software delivery management including analysis, design, estimation, and technology implementation
- Deep understanding of design principles, scalable data modeling, secure coding practices, and code quality
- Strong prioritization and multitasking skills, able to initiate and lead meetings with teams
- Experience managing teams of 8 to 12 members
- Willingness to engage with global teams, accommodating early morning or late evening meetings
- Strong problem-solving skills, valuing diverse perspectives and seeking information to guide the team
- Ability to work creatively and calmly under pressure, quickly adapting to changing demands
- Proficient in operational support processes, project management tools and methodologies
- Effective communication skills, capable of crafting presentations tailored to diverse audiences
Responsibilities
- Mentor and guide a team of software engineers and quality assurance professionals on best practices in system design and software engineering
- Advocate for security best practices in application development across all engineering efforts
- Foster genuine relationships with team members and business partners, promoting long-term collaboration
- Anticipate customer needs, ensuring work processes prioritize customer satisfaction
- Inspire, retain, and nurture key personnel, facilitating their career development
- Lead and influence project teams to ensure project goals are met
- Navigate ambiguity and function effectively within a matrix organization
- Empower teams to innovate, promoting an agile environment receptive to change
- Exhibit a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Oversee general leadership and administrative responsibilities associated with team management
- Collaborate closely with program managers and other technical leaders to define and strategize development projects
- Ensure the team adheres to all relevant standards, policies, and procedures
