Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree with 4 years of experience in software application development and maintenance, or a High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of experience in the same field.
- 6-10 years of software development experience, focusing on Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and messaging queues (Kafka).
- Knowledge of security protocols including OAuth2, JWT, SSL, and data encryption.
- Proficient in React.js, as well as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, including database design and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, and Jest, along with integration testing and TDD/BDD practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Leadership qualities with a strong capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and create technical solutions addressing user requirements concerning performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Manage proactive maintenance of our existing IaaS/SaaS and on-premise applications in various banking sectors to ensure stability and scalability as the business progresses.
- Assist in diagnosing code defects, data issues, and configuration errors to identify the source of application problems.
- Provide support for business-critical, complex applications.
- Utilize judgment within established procedures to determine suitable actions.
- Ideally, lead small to medium-sized projects.
- Promote departmental best practices and guidelines while adhering to established standards.
- Exhibit expertise in developing real-time and file-based integrations, optimizing database processing.
- Show understanding and empathy towards developers, aiming to enhance the developer experience.
- Take pride in creating elegant, maintainable, and secure code that is thoroughly documented.
- Cultivate a passion for abstracting and refactoring code.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement, supporting the teams development as well.
- Potentially mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall technical advancement of the team.
